My practice focuses on employment and labour law. I advise employers on a range of human resources issues, including employment contracts, workplace policies, business immigration, and terminations. I also provide representation in litigation matters, including in the areas of human rights, employment standards, workers’ compensation, arbitrations and other court-related litigation arising from the workplace.
During my studies at the University of Calgary, I worked for Citizenship and Immigration Canada as an Immigration Officer at ports of entry in Coutts, Alberta and the Calgary International Airport. I was called to the Alberta Bar in 2007. Before joining Spectrum, I maintained a broad litigation practice at a well-respected Calgary firm with an emphasis on employment matters, creditors’ rights and Aboriginal law. I use my experience as a litigator to help clients find innovative solutions to the myriad of human resources challenges that they may face.
