I assist clients with legal issues relating to pension, employment benefits and executive and other deferred compensation plans.
I joined Spectrum after completing my articles with a boutique labour and employment firm in Toronto. While articling, I gained experience in a variety of areas, including human rights law, occupational health and safety, and labour disputes. I also spent a portion of my articles seconded to the Ontario Labour Relations Board, where I developed an in-depth understanding of labour board processes. As a law student, I spent a summer and a portion of my third year as an adjudicator of discriminatory action complaints for the Workers’ Compensation Board of British Columbia. Through my work experience, I have gained an appreciation for the complex nature of the employment relationship and how pension, benefits and other compensation programs play an important role in that relationship.
I love to travel and I have lived in Paris and Melbourne, and all across Canada. I have been involved with the Terry Fox Foundation since 2005.
